In the saga enveloping Doneal Mack, are we bearing witness to how Coach Calipari deals with an overly demanding parent of one of his players?

I'm just sayin, did Coach Cal layeth the sMack down on Greg Mack, Doneal's father, by allowing the kid to leave UM just to prove a larger point about how he runs his program and to scale model the importance of a player to ? I think so.


ON ANOTHER NOTE, how crucial are Doneal's NBA dreams to his family's financial future?

I mean, it has the making of a number of families that have kids with athletic prowess. Families tend to sacrifice in order to fulfill those dreams, which can payoff in big bucks.

Yet, if the dream is not realized, then that sacrifice--the investments, really--will not provide a return.

So, it's understandable that a father might vent about his son's playing time because alot might be at stake.
